Another excellent actress, who doesn't need to be introduced under the heading "discovery": Laura Tonke (born 1974 in Berlin) has long been one of the established actresses with an impressive film and theatre career. But she is still not a star, although she would have what it takes to be one, but maybe there is no such thing as "stars" in German cinema. At the age of 17 she made her film debut in "Ostkreuz" (1991) by Michael Klier, in 2000 she received the "Lilli-Palmer-Gedächtniskamera" as the best up-and-coming actress.
