Children's Film Specialist: Markus Dietrich
With the great Fantasy "Sputnik" he shot his first long Children's Film
Born 1979 in Strausberg near Berlin. He studied at the FU Berlin and at the Bauhaus University Weimar, where he took courses with DEFA director Günter Reisch and Gordian Maugg, among others. In 2008 he participated in the "Berlinale" Talent Campus and in 2009 in the Zurich Master Class. From 2009 to 2011 he was director at the Thalia Theater Halle. Under his direction he created several children's crime novels. In 2012 he made his cinema debut with the children's film "Sputnik", which was nominated for the German Film Award in the category Best Children's Film in 2014.
