"You limp dicks!". The children of the neighbouring villages of Longeverne and Velrans have always fought each other without mercy. But no one can put up with this abuse - it means war! Lebrac, leader of the Longeverne gang, devises a special stratagem: the prisoners have all the buttons of their clothes cut off - defeated and humiliated, they are sure of trouble at home. And the battle now has a name: War of the Buttons. When the pretty Violette arrives in the village, the carefree attitude of the war game suddenly turns serious. For in March 1944, the great war also arrives in the south of France. Violette's real name is Myriam, she is Jewish and is threatened by a betrayal. Now it's time to stick together! The children and parents from the hostile villages now have no choice but to join forces and stand together on the right side...
