Upstairs, Downstairs

Mary, the new housekeeper, confides in Richard that she is pregnant after being raped by a drunk man. She insists that he must take responsibility and reveals that the man is Myles Radford, the son of Richard's friend (and former employer) General Radford. Myles is outraged that Richard has the audacity to question his integrity and retaliates with a tactless move that could have enormous legal, financial, and moral consequences.
