As Jesus predicted to his disciples at the Last Supper, he is betrayed by Judas and denied by Peter. The Sanhedrin accuses him of blasphemy and hands him over to the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate for judgment. Jesus dies on the cross. After his resurrection, he sends his disciples out into the world to spread the word of God.
