An artist commissioned to paint Lady Marjorie's portrait falls in love with Sarah and persuades her to pose for him. The painting, which depicts Sarah and her roommate, is somewhat risqué, and when the Bellamys see it in a public exhibition, they dismiss both girls, mistakenly concluding that it depicts “questionable behavior.”
