Gwizdo and Lian Chu are assigned by a group of monks to chase away a dangerous dragon. The dragon prevents the monks from getting to the island of mist where their turnip plantation is. Our heroes enjoy the monks' strange lives, their food, and their different philosophical approaches to circular and round beings. After chasing the dragon away, they discover that there is no beet plantation on the island, but an enchanted pond. When the monks realize that the dragon hunters have figured out their secret, they want to lock them up.
