Ten-year-old Sascha prefers to go cycling with his friend Elli of the same age and collects noises. Or he tinkers with his bike in the self-made workshop. Sascha does not like going to the new special school, which he now has to attend because he still cannot read and write. When Sascha is caught stealing again, his mother gets help from the youth welfare office. The educational assistant Frank should support Sascha in everyday life and school for a year. Sascha refuses Frank, but sometimes finds it very practical to have a "bodyguard" at his side. Frank convinces Sascha and his mother to consult a pediatrician - and Sascha is diagnosed with ADHD. In order to be able to concentrate better, Sascha takes a medication. That helps him at school and with the adults. But it also changes Sascha's nature and his friendship with Elli begins to falter.
