Security guard Ben (Adrian Linke) just wants to leave his criminal past behind him and lead a normal life. But during a night shift, his past catches up with him: three strangers break into the warehouse to crack a safe. At the same time, the shady gangster Gruber (Andreas von Studnitz), an old acquaintance, calls Ben and announces that he is coming to find him.
What initially appears to be a simple break-in develops into a deadly game of cat and mouse, in which everyone pursues their own goals and no one can be trusted. The night escalates into violence, betrayal, and psychological pressure—and in the end, the question arises: Who will survive the double-cross?
Falko Jakobs' German neo-noir thriller was shot with surprisingly few, but very effectively used resources. The film's low budget of around 5,000 euros is not apparent – on the contrary: “All Through the Hall,” which, as the title suggests, takes place almost entirely in a remote warehouse, has won several awards at various international festivals. Claustrophobic tension, stylish noir lighting, and all kinds of dark secrets are cleverly intertwined with Ben's struggle for survival.
This indie action film is an impressive cinematic undertaking—and a highly suspenseful one at that!
