In a magical land far away from our world, the farmer's sons Per and Pål are suspected of poisoning the royal couple. Their only hope is their brother Espen Ash Lad, who sets off on a journey to Soria Moria Castle together with Princess Kristin. According to legend, there is a fountain there that contains the water of life and can save the king and queen from certain death.
