Turbulent adventure film about the famous characters from the comic books by Hergé. Professor Bienlein makes an appeal to the world's scientists via television. They should research to grow plants that grow in the Arctic and in the desert. Back at Mühlenhof Castle, the residence he shares with the castle's owner Captain Haddock and Tintin, he receives a package from Professor Zalamea containing a blue orange that glows in the dark. But soon afterwards the orange is stolen.
