Fred (Josh Ruben) has a dream: he wants to finally make his breakthrough as an author. But he hasn't gotten very far yet. He simply doesn't have any ideas about what to write about. A trip to the mountains, where he has rented a cabin, is supposed to bring him the peace and inspiration he longs for. But the writer's block remains, and as if that wasn't bad enough, he meets Fanny (Aya Cash), who is an author herself and has won numerous fans with her horror novel Venus, while out jogging.
During a storm, there is a power cut and the two decide to spend the evening together. A few drinks later, Fanny challenges Fred to tell her a scary story and scare her. A challenge that the thwarted author is only too happy to accept...
