Tatjana, Gerti and Monika work hard in an aging laundry in Hamburg. Their earnings are low and the consequences of globalization raise doubts in the viewer's mind as to whether things will ever get better in the near future. Despite everything, they master their arduous everyday lives with dignity, quiet heroines of hope, who every now and then conquer a small piece of happiness.
