They were shown at DOXS RUHR and exclusively suggested by the festival for this collection! DOXS RUHR is a festival that wants to know something about images. It shows films that stimulate and excite, that are about something: reality. The themes and artistic styles of the DOXS RUHR programme are selected with a feel for young lifeworlds and presented in an age-specific way. Digital formats enable children, teenagers and young adults to familiarise themselves with the diversity of documentary storytelling beyond the Ruhr region - including the collection at filmfriend. Part of the collection is the documentary film DER LETZTE SEINER ART. It is thanks to the financial support of ENGAGEMENT GLOBAL gGmbH that this film is available for streaming nationwide for the first time. ENGAGEMENT GLOBAL cooperates with DOXS RUHR as part of the Development-Related Education in Germany (EBD) programme. The programme aims to motivate people to take a critical look at global developments through information and educational measures and to encourage them to get involved in development policy.
