Actress, singer, filmmaker and one of France's most famous film stars

Sandrine Kiberlain, born on 25 February 1968 in Paris, is an actress, singer, filmmaker and one of France's most famous female film stars. After training at the Conservatoire National d'Art Dramatique in Paris, she made her breakthrough in 1994 with Éric Rochant's spy thriller ‘Les patriots’, for which she received the Romy Schneider Prize and a César nomination for Most Promising Actress. In 1996, she won the César for Laetitia Masson's ‘To Have (or Not)’. She has demonstrated her versatile talent in dramatic and comedic roles in numerous films. She has worked with Jacques Audiard, Benoit Jacquot, Claude Miller, Nicole Garcia, Philippe Le Guay, Alain Resnais, Stéphane Brizé, André Téchiné, Maïwenn and Bruno Podalydès. In 2016, she made her debut as a screenwriter and director with the short film ‘Bonne figure’ starring Chiara Mastroianni. She was selected as jury president for the Caméra d'Or award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Sandrine Kiberlain is also well known and popular in her home country as a chanteuse, thanks to albums such as ‘Coupés Bien Nets Et Bien Carrés’ and ‘Loin derrière’.
