The seemingly normal everyday life of a young woman: Franky (Lena Urzendowsky) works part-time in a beverage store, her best friend Katja is also her roommate, and the cute guy next door seems unattainable.
However, when Franky finds herself in unpleasant situations, she takes the elevator and checks into a wondrous hotel that only exists in her mind. And there's a lot going on there. Because there are many Frankys: Mrs. Franke, Ella, Lenny, and Frank live in her mind as extreme manifestations of Franky's different personality traits—and they're bursting with energy. They want to play, fall in love, save the world, or finally have sex.
When Katja's new boyfriend Hasim, known as Hasi (Cino Djavid), moves into their shared apartment, the four of them are unstoppable. At an opportune moment, the seductive Ella takes the elevator and makes a move on Hasi. Now Franky's life is literally falling apart. In the chaos, she threatens to lose everything – a dramatic emergency in the mind hotel.
The film by Birgit Möller, who has made a name for herself as a cinematographer, is an excessively playful and, above all, visually original coming-of-age drama. Comical and psychological elements are combined with great imagination, with the hotel serving as a powerful metaphor for Franky's inner turmoil.
