On the Beach at Night Alone

Younghee, an aspiring actress, has just ended an affair with a married man. In Hamburg, far from her home in Seoul, she takes time for herself to reflect on love. During walks in the harbour city, she wonders if her former lover still has feelings for her and what she really wants from life. Back in Korea, Younghee visits the coastal city of Gangneung and meets old friends there. The more the evening progresses and the more alcohol is consumed by those present, the more their conversations change. At first, the discussions are still substantial, but the trivialities take over. Younghee leaves the hotel and flees to a lonely beach...
