Jette knew that day would come eventually. And yet the 12-year-old girl is completely caught off guard when the doorbell rings and a red-clad creature stands before her. Jette has been paying attention: Her mother always grabbed the red creature and dragged it into the bathroom. Door closed, red creature dealt with. So Jette is going to fight back, too. But the red creature senses Jette’s hesitation. And so the two begin to talk to each other. In their first encounter, “UNERHÖRT” tells the story of a moment that connects all women: the onset of menstruation.
