In their film, the students of class 9W explore the “Rechenzentrum” (computer center) located in the neighborhood of their school. The former GDR building is now an art, creative, and meeting place that offers many artists a unique opportunity to pursue their own artistic activities in the heart of Potsdam. However, it has long been threatened with demolition to make way for the reconstruction of the Garrison Church. Over several weeks, the students explore the building and the people who work there, using their cinematic approach to develop a political voice that adds a youthful perspective to the discourse on the subject.
